Skagway is a beautiful historical town with great natural beauty and the sceneries are out of this world.  For this reason, many visitors choose to travel by foot to slowly take in what the borough has to offer.  However, there is  a wide variety of means of transportation for everyone to enjoy.

Cycling around is a also a popular choice, and it is perfect for visitors who want to keep fit also.  The Klondike Bicycle Tour shows tourists challenging cycling spots and bicycle trails.  Cars and other automobile types including caravans can also be used to travel around Skagway, and can be rented at different automobile rentals.  For example, Avis Rent A Car, Sourdough Vehicle Rentals, and the Alaska Motorhome Rentals.  Rail is also not a trip to miss,  and the highlight for all tourists to try is the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad.

For some adventure, visitors can travel by sea and take a boat tour or a ferry ride around the vicinity, from Skagway to places like Haines and Juneau.  These trips are organized by services companies such as Alaska Fjordlines, Skagway Small Boat Harbor, and Haines-Skagway Fast Ferry.

These are not the only ways to sightsee Skagway.  A highly recommended means to view Skagway is from the top – by helicopter or by small aircrafts.  These services are offered and organized by Air Excursions LLC, Temsco Helicopters, and Wings of Alaska.
